MentorCONNECT - Leadership Team
This forum is a collaborative labor of love, which owes its continuing existence to the creativity and dedication of the following four survivors. From first being mentored ourselves, we now share the gift of mentoring with others through serving as mentors and co-facilitating the MentorCONNECT site.
Shannon Cutts
Shannon Cutts, survivor of a fifteen-year battle with anorexia, bulimia, depression and anxiety, today is known as a compassionate and charismatic advocate of our right to feel good about ourselves, our bodies and our lives. As a popular college circuit and conference speaker, writer and award-winning performing songwriter, she uses stories and songs to bring hope to those who need it most. As the Founder of Key to Life: unlocking the door to hope and MentorCONNECT, Shannon is active in leading support communities for those recovering from eating and related disorders. She is also the author of Beating ANA (2009, Health Communications, Inc.)
Robin Richardson

After 20 years in recovery, Robin's passion is to combine wisdom gained through her personal struggles, her skills as a singer/songwriter, and the knowledge she gleaned from a Master's Degree in Transpersonal Psychology, to bring hope and healing to others. As a recovering bulimarexic and compulsive overeater as well as an incest survivor, Robin knows that nothing is too big, dark, or difficult to be overcome and turned into a source of wisdom and strength. Throughout her years in recovery, she has mentored dozens of women into recovering their lives and themselves. Both a therapist and performer, Robin has mesmerized girls and women of all ages with her songs and stories of the possibility and hope of healing and health. She is available as an inspirational speaker and singer on the topic of self-esteem, eating disorders, addiction, and sexual abuse. You can learn more about Robin at www.RobinRichardson.net. Robin's newest cd, "Wild Bird," tells the story of her journey from addiction and victimhood to freedom and a life beyond her wildest dreams. "Wild Bird" is currently available on the Sunlight of the Spirit label.
Lynn Gerhard
Experience and the Creator’s gifts are my qualifications to work with others. The maintenance and growth of my own life of recovery lends urgency to the need to work with others. What I share best are my own experience, strength and hope gained in nine years of continuous sobriety and twenty years of working my way out of the prison of codependency and borderline personality disorder. I use the same Twelve Step process that I worked myself when I am working with others, and I serve my home group, and am active in district- and area-level service in the fellowship of recovery that I call home.
Andrea Roe
Andrea Roe is a native Austrian and lives together with her husband, Brandon, in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. She struggled with depression and body image issues for ten years, and with eating disorders, both anorexia and bulimia, for six years. Now that she is recovered, it is her passion to share her story and help and support others in their recovery. Andrea is the author of You Are Not Alone – The Book of Companionship for Women Struggling with Eating Disorders and publishes a monthly recovery email newsletter called the You Are Not Alone Support Letter.
